Challenge:

Our HEALTHCARE customer's IT Manager explains that originally the information was held in separate spreadsheets, preventing comprehensive reporting and the development of KPIs. This data was migrated into a visual management format using a free dashboarding program. The additional problem of no real-time updates meant manually refreshing the data. While the initial dashboarding option did break the ice with visual management amongst staff, it soon became clear that it needed a better solution.

Solution

Our HEALTHCARE Customer installed eProSoft's 'BI & A' platform which provided Active Dashboards and uses 15 scoreboards and 30 dashboards across the business. These dashboards report on sales against budget, creating graphical representations of KPIs against sales and capacity against demand. Previously, dashboards were only accessible to a few restricted users. After deploying eProSoft's 'BI & A' platform, a large proportion of the workforce moved towards a more data-driven way of thinking, with impressive results.

Results

The business was built from the ground up, with no real KPIs or fact-based decision making, as gut feel had always sufficed. Now through the introduction of touchscreens in each work center, they were able to increase the sales and productivity.

Strengthening the Supply Chain — Developing the analytical dashboards and inputting the KPI measurements displayed to the organization that our HEALTHCARE Customer’s supply chain’s effectiveness was only at 36 percent.

Increased Transparency — eProSoft's 'BI && A' predictive active dashboards enabled customer’s data to be more transparent and accessible so that factors needing attention by the deciding management are immediately flagged.

Enhanced flexibility — Users can now create forecasts at a granular rather than aggregate level, empowering greater flexibility and analysis. With the ability to access supply chain updates daily, the business can now get on top of problems before they escalate. Not only is this having a massive impact on the efficiency of our customer's own supply chain, but it means that if our HEALTHCARE customer adjusts its order, its suppliers’ cash flow is improved

Rapid results — eProSot’s ‘BI & A’ platform began to show results back to the business in just few weeks and has since helped maintain control and profitability of a business unit that has grown rapidly across the globe.
